Jeff Murphy Mediator | Attorney
Jeff Murphy brings over 35 years of corporate, civil
and domestic relations experience to the table when he is called to
mediate a dispute. His broad background includes service as a Chief
Counsel for Upjohn Company subsidiaries, private practice as a corporate
and product liability litigator, consulting on corporate compliance
issues, and lecturing as an Adjunct Professor of Antitrust and Trade
Regulation.
Qualifications:
Certified and court appointed mediator for civil, commercial, and
domestic disputes, with over 100 hours of training via the Institute for
Continuing Legal Education, the Center for Dispute Resolution, and the
Oakland Mediation Center
Mediation Philosophy:
Each mediation should be designed to meet the specific needs of the
parties and their counsel. Reaching a successful settlement requires a
positive approach in helping the parties consider the objective
strengths and weaknesses of their positions. It is a mediator’s role to
build consensus, not pass judgment, based on the individual facts of a
case.

programs and codes of conduct, and provided legal opinions on corporate
structure and management, franchising, acquisition and divestiture of
domestic and foreign businesses, assets and licenses. He has
successfully mediated commercial contract disputes; real estate purchase
option disputes; divorce, child custody and school choice dispute, and
insurance coverage disputes.

Brenda Fettig Murphy’s formal education includes degrees from Trinity College
in Washington, D.C. and Columbia University in New York City. She has over thirty years of interviewing and market research experience. Murphy owned a full service market research company, Harrington Market Research, for eleven years and also worked for Biggs-Gilmore Associates as Vice President – Market Research Director. She has consulted and designed projects for businesses and individual clients that included large companies and corporations, financial, medical and academic institutions as well as non-profit agencies and foundations. She is currently responsible for case management and marketing of this firm’s business.
